      The Direction Center in Grand Rapids is a management support organization that provides a wide range of services and training opportunities for nonprofits (http://www2.gvsu.edu/~directct/).

      The Nonprofit Alliance in Battle Creek provides a range of management support services to Nonprofits (http://www.willard.lib.mi.us/npa/npahome.html).

      Philip Walker has an outstanding "Nonprofit Resources Catalogue" (http://www.clark.net/pub/pwalker/home.html) on the web. This provides a wide range of links, especially links related to the United Way.

      The Internet Nonprofit Center (http://www.nonprofits.org) has an extensive frequently asked questions (FAQ) file.

      Independent Sector (http://www.indepsec.org) is an excellent source of information on trends in volunteering and philanthropy. They are also a good source of information on research that is currently being conducted on nonprofits.

      Charity Village is an outstanding site designed to support volunteering in Canada (http://www.charityvillage.com). Among its many features is a library of on-line information for volunteers.

The NonProfit Times On-Line

      This weekly journal, published by the Gilbert Center, provides easy access through links to nonprofit news from a wide variety of sources (http://www.gilbert.org/news).

Philanthropy News Digest
      This is a free weekly web journal that is issued by the Foundation Center. Most of the content is news about major gifts and actions by foundations. It is a great source of information about emerging trends in funding. It web address is (http://fdncenter.org/phil/philmain.html).

Guidestar
