Western Michigan University has a site license for SharePoint 2013 for use as departmental intranets and for long term data distribution to closed groups. It is only available for use by WMU employees. No external use and not for student use.
Before requesting a SharePoint site, please consult with your IT support and/or web support staff as a departmental, group, or project-based site may already exist or be in the works. Then, determine your department's approved prefix. Site naming convention follows the conventions set for departmental Bronco NetIDs. That is, a departmental prefix using the approved abbreviations and a suffix that is descriptive of the proposed usage, e.g. oit-internal. Once that has been determined, submit the below request form.
Training and support are assumed by the person making the request. There are courses available at no cost to WMU employees in lynda.com and many good books on the subject at Amazon.com.
You will be taken to ITDirect to enter your request. Login using your Bronco NetID and password. Accept the default "Log on to" LDAP.
