MI-LSAMP announces a Summer Undergraduate Research program to be held at the Western Michigan University campus in Kalamazoo, MI. Support for this undergraduate research experience is sponsored by funding from the National Science Foundation.
Successful applicants will engage in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) research for at least 130 hours during the summer of 2017, concluding by no later than August 11, 2017. Each student participant will be paid up to $2,000 (less personal income taxes) and have a $300 materials and supplies budget to use.
Applications from students currently enrolled at community colleges as well as students enrolled at four-year universities are welcome.
Selection of the research student will be based on your current academic credentials, your thoughts on why you wish to engage in research, your area of interest or possible research topics, and our ability to match your interests with a faculty research mentor who will work with each student during the six-week program.

Application review begins as soon as they are received. Applications will not be accepted after May 19, 2017.
