Dave graduated in December of 2005 from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in aviation maintenance technology. He also achieved his private pilot license flying C172s in Marshall, Mich at Brook’s Field in September of 2005. During his junior and senior years at Western Michigan University, he worked for the Line Department and interned in the Aviation Maintenance Department. Soon after graduation, Dave achieved his airframe and powerplant license and started working part-time as a maintenance tech.
In the summer of 2006, Dave was hired as an airframe technician at Duncan Aviation, specializing in Lear Jet maintenance. He also worked on the Challenger airframe while at Duncan. Returning to Western Michigan University in July 2009, Dave is now a full-time aircraft mechanic.
