Clinical Education

The College of Health and Human Services is able to offer unmatched clinical educational opportunities through the Unified Clinics and Center for Disability Services, affiliate enterprises of the college. 

The Unified Clinics is comprised of eight specialty clinics that serve a broad population, providing specialized health care, diagnostic and therapeutic services in speech, hearing, vision, substance abuse, occupational therapy, autism assessment, women's health and trauma assessment.

The Center for Disability Services is a community-funded program that serves more than 250 clients and employs more than 100 CHHS students at any time. In 2016, CDS provided 177,764 hours of direct service.

In addition, students from all disciplines in the college find placements for internships and externships at one of the many partners in Kalamazoo County and southwest Michigan. In fact, many of our students find placements with select partners in different parts of the country.
