The child and family development major at Western Michigan University is focused on preparing individuals to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children and their families in a variety of settings. This program meets State of Michigan requirements for child care center directors. It does not provide Michigan teacher certification.

Students earning their degree online may choose to be advised by Kimberly Doudna, Ph.D.

Students residing outside of Kalamazoo County may choose to be advised by Robin Gallagher.

All students are welcome to meet with a college advisor in Sangren Hall by visiting the office for drop-in advising or by scheduling an appointment.
