Health Care Administration

The Master of Public Administration health care administration concentration offered by the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Western Michigan University provides students with the knowledge and skills that are needed for effective leadership and career advancement. The concentration is composed of four three-hour required courses and two three-hour elective courses (18 credit hours).

  • PADM 6515: Administration and Delivery of Health Services (three credit hours)
  • PADM 6532: Health Care Policy and Law (three credit hours)
  • PADM 6535: Health Care Economics and Finance I (three credit hours)
  • One of the following:
    • PADM 6270: Human Resources Administration (three credit hours)
    • PADM 6290: Supervisory Skills for Administrators (three credit hours)

Electives

  • PADM 6545: Health Care Economics and Finance II (three credit hours)
  • PADM 6555: Managerial Epidemiology (three credit hours)
  • MKTG 6610: Healthcare Marketing (three credit hours)
  • One of the following:
