Campus office hours released for holidays

Most WMU offices will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 2, and some will operate on reduced hours starting Friday, Dec. 16. Offices reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3, and spring semester begins at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9.

Applications sought for assessment awards program

Applications are being accepted through Friday, Feb. 10, for the Assessment Excellence Individual and Unit awards, which recognize assessment activities that have led to improvements in academic or other programs.

Longtime employees inducted into 25 Year Club

Forty-one employees were inducted Dec. 1 into WMU's 25 Year Club. Two faculty members—Richard W. Malott and James VanDePolder—were recognized for 50 years of service.

WMU men's soccer leads Academic All-MAC

WMU student-athletes make up nearly a quarter of the 2016 men's soccer Academic All-MAC team. Honorees include Bock, Bye, DeJulio, Hoover, Jimenez, McNulty, Ruddock, Shepherd, Sipple and Vandenboom.

WMU libraries extend hours at end of semester

Waldo Library will be on extended hours Dec. 9-10 and a 24-hour schedule Dec. 11-15 to aid students as they prepare for final exams. Sangren Hall's Swain Education Library will be open until midnight Dec. 11-14.

WMU football Broncos win MAC title

The No. 13 ranked WMU football Broncos beat Ohio 29-23 in the Marathon Mid-American Conference Championship game Friday, Dec. 2, to earn their first conference title since 1988.

The No. 13 ranked WMU football Broncos will face Ohio in the Mid-American Conference Championship game at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Ford Field in Detroit.
