Sindecuse offers health insurance enrollment help to students, community

Photo of a group of WMU students.KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University students and community members are invited to meet with Enroll Kalamazoo County representatives from 3 to 6 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Sindecuse Health Center. Assistance will be offered to people who need new health insurance coverage or to those who have questions about health insurance. No appointment is needed.

To assist with sign-up, attendees should bring:

  • Social Security number
  • Estimated 2017 income
  • Current health insurance policy numbers

Other insurance options are available on the Sindecuse Health Center website at wmich.edu/healthcenter/about/insurance, including an insurance exchange set up for WMU students. Free health care enrollment event information is available at enrollkalamazoocounty.com.

Not all plans offered on the exchange participate with the health center. Review the health center's participation list to see if the insurance you select is accepted at the health center. Ask before purchasing.
