Excellence in Diversity nominations sought

Nominations of individuals or groups of employees, students or WMU community members are due by Friday, Dec. 4. Award recipients will be recognized at the Spring Convocation on Friday, Feb. 5.

Philo G. "Glen" Bishop, former associate director of media services and manager of technical services at WMU, died Nov. 7. A memorial gathering is set for Saturday, Nov. 14.

Edith M. Yahr obituary

Edith M. Yahr, a former staff member in the Graduate College, died Sept. 23 at age 84. She retired in 1997 after 10 years of service to the University.

Dr. Richard L. McAnaw, professor emeritus of political science, died Oct. 21 at age 85. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, in Kalamazoo.
