KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University dancers and musicians performed in June at an international conference for ballet teachers.

Three dance students performed "Entrechat," a ballet choreographed by WMU's Sharon Garber, during the 2014 annual conference of Corps de Ballet International held June 20 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Garber, professor of dance, is a founding member of the organization and served as president in 2000-02.

The students, junior Sarah Jones of South Lyon, junior Samuel Crouch of Charlotte, and senior Jesse Hoisington of Commerce Township, are all majoring in dance. They were accompanied by Dr. Bradley Wong, director of the School of Music and professor of clarinet, and Helen Lukan, dance musician for the Department of Dance.

Next year’s conference will be hosted at Towson University in Maryland.
