2013 Frostic Reading Series begins with 'Second Coming'

The fall 2013 Gwen Frostic Reading Series will bring five accomplished authors to campus starting Wednesday, Sept. 11, through Thursday, Nov. 21. Peter Orner will kick off the series with a reading from his collected works.

Men's soccer to hold walk-on tryouts

Men's soccer walk-on tryouts will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the WMU Soccer Complex. A physical, sickle cell test and insurance paperwork is required.

Most WMU offices closed Labor Day weekend

Governor appoints accountancy professor to state board

Alumna honored as bobsled athlete

WMU alumna Katie Eberling has been named the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation Women's Bobsled Athlete of the Year. Eberling was honored at an Aug. 11 ceremony.

Kalamazoo Film Society presents 'Frances Ha'

The Kalamazoo Film Society will present the comedy "Frances Ha" Friday through Sunday, Aug. 16-18, at WMU's Little Theatre. The film is rated R; admission is $5.

Business student 1 of 4 recipients of statewide scholarship

Senior Chad Niemchick is one of four students in Michigan to be awarded a 2013 Transportation Club of Detroit scholarship, and is also the sole recipient of this year’s Lakeshore Human Resource Management scholarship.

New head coach for Bronco gymnastics named

University officials have announced that Penny Jernigan, University of North Carolina gymnastics assistant head coach, will fill the position of head coach of the Bronco gymnastics team.
