KALAMAZOO—Western Michigan University's Office for Sustainability is accepting applications to participate in the Stadium Drive Community Garden. Located behind the Stadium Drive Apartments on Howard Street and visible from Stadium Drive, the garden has plots available for use by students, faculty, staff and the general public.

The Office for Sustainability will periodically offer workshops on-site throughout the growing season, May through October.

Kalamazoo is home to a thriving community garden movement. Community gardens are wonderful places to learn, interact and have fun with others interested in growing fruits and vegetables. Stadium Drive Community Garden participants are encouraged to plant an extra row to be donated to local food banks.

For more information on how to reserve a plot, volunteer or attend workshops, visit wmich.edu/sustainability/projects/community-garden.
