Evan Conroy

Evan Conroy , BM '09
As a freshman tenor trombonist at WMU Evan Conroy had a full tone and strong low register. By the beginning of his sophomore year he had switched to bass trombone and immediately started having great success. His hard work paid off when he was admitted to The Juilliard School. Adam Houk

Adam Houk, BM '07
Adam Houk entered the trombone program at WMU as a former Texas 1st chair all-state player. During his work at Western he focused on his trombone orchestral study and ultimately received large scholarships to several major music schools to pursue graduate work. Chris Van Hof

Chris Van Hof, BM '06
Since graduating with a trombone performance degree from WMU in 2006 and the Eastman School of Music in 2008, Chris Van Hof is quickly establishing himself as an emerging artist on the music scene. Andy Mitchell

Andy Mitchell, BM '06
Although he is a fairly recent graduate of the WMU trombone studio, Andy Mitchell's strong work ethic is already resulting in success as he pursues graduate work at Chicago's Roosevelt University. Sometime soon he hopes to land his ideal job as a full time orchestral trombonist. To learn more click on the photo.


Matt Westgate

Matt Westgate, BMEd '00, MM '06
Former WMU trombonist Matt Westate earned two degrees at WMU before pursuing his doctorate at the Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music in conducting. He is now the Director of Instrumental Activities at Xavier University. Matt credits much of his success to the strong foundation he obtained at Western. To learn more click on the photo.


Sandy Kessler

Sandy Kessler, BM and BMEd '99
As an undergraduate student at WMU, Sandy Kessler had an interest in trombone performance, music education, and Spanish. With so many interests, her busy schedule resulted not only in many long days, but an extra year to finish her degree. She's now using all three areas of study in her employment in Mexico. Paul Mundo

Paul Mundo, BM '94, MM '97
Paul Mundo earned both his undergraduate and masters degree from WMU. As a talented trombonist his abilities resulted in many performing opportunities.
