She has taught at the University of Nebraska, Washington State University, Northwestern University, and currently also teaches at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
She has appeared in operatic performances in over 60 American cities including leading roles with the San Francisco, Santa Fe, Omaha, Lake George, and Chicago Light Opera Works.
She was first place winner in the San Francisco Opera Center Auditions, a Metropolitan Opera regional semi-finalist, a national finalist in the American Opera Auditions, and national finalist in the 1981 National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Artist Awards.
A nationally known vocal pedagogue and singer’s wellness specialist, she has published articles in the NATS Journal of Singing, Woman of Note Quarterly Liturgy 90, The American Organist and Medical Problems of Performing Artists.
She was the recipient of the Ragland Opera Fellowship from Northwestern, and dysphonia research grants from both the University of Nebraska and Washington State.
She was listed in the 2000 edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and has created the Web site www.singershealth.com.
