Currently principal flutist in the Kalamazoo
Symphony, she has also performed with the National Symphony of Bogota, Colombia; the Greater Lansing
Symphony; the Nebraska Sinfonia; the Oklahoma Symphony; and the Oklahoma City Chamber Orchestra.
Her teachers include Alexander Murray, Joseph Mariano, and George Morey.
Additional study has been with Brittan Johnson, Jean Pierre Rampal,
James Pellerite, Marcel Moyse, and Geoffrey Gilbert.
She has been national secretary and on the board of directors of the
National Flute Association (NFA), has performed as soloist at NFA conventions, was a semi-finalist
in the International Flute Competition in Munich, has premiered solo works for flute, and has presented
solo performances in eight states as well as in China, Russia, Australia, and New Zealand. She has been
heard on NPR's Performance Today, and has recorded David Ott's Alto Flute Concerto with
the London Symphony.
