His teachers include Richard Killmer, John de Lancie, and David Abosch. He has served as principal oboe in the Chamber Orchestra of the West, Denver Chamber Orchestra, Colorado Ballet Orchestra, Central City Colorado Opera Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Johns, and was recently appointed principal oboist of the Battle Creek Symphony.
He has also performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Music Festival Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, New Haven Symphony, Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra (in Buffalo, New York), Detroit Symphony Orchestra (in Vail, Colorado), Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony, and the Pro Arte Singers in New York City .
His solo engagements with orchestra include performances with the Chamber Orchestra of the West, Mercury Chamber Players, Denver Chamber Orchestra, and AIMS Orchestra (Graz, Austria).
In addition to performing with the Fontana Chamber Music Society on a regular basis, he has performed chamber music throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Austria, and Germany.
He has taught at the Eastman School of Music and University of Denver's Lamont School of Music.
He has public school experience in Colorado, and has presented master classes in Colorado, North Carolina, New York, Michigan, Arizona, Indiana, and Massachusetts.
