Note: In preparation for the online WebCT Quiz #3 (due by 3PM on Wed., Jan 30), choose a song you know well (in any style) that has meaningful lyrics (Do not choose "Yesterday" by the Beatles), and think about the following:  a) What is so special about those words?  b) How does the music itself express or amplify the words?  c) Does the singer do anything special to interpretively express the words? d) Does the accompaniment help to express or amplify the words?  e) Does the song have a clear formal design (if, so, what is it)?  You will use this information to do this assignment online in WebCT.
