Music 1500 Spring 2013

MUSIC 1500 WEBSITE:

All regular information for this class is located on the open Mus1500 homepage at

E-LEARNING LINK FOR MUS1500:

The E-Learning link for this class is only used to access the online textbook and workbook from McGraw-Hill Publishers, which requires you to purchase a McGraw-Hill User License from either the WMU Bookstore (downstairs in Bronco Mall), or the University Bookstore (next to the WMU Parking Office). Until you turn in your McGraw-Hill User License, your MUS1500 E-Learning link is inactive (you still have access to E-Learning in all other ways--the MUS1500 link just cannot take you to the McGraw-Hill textbook/workbook material until your license is activated).

For now, as a courtesy to give you time to get to one of the campus bookstores, the publisher has provided access to the first few assigned readings (see the specific links on the schedule below).

To read these chapters, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer/browser--click here to get the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader:

Online reading, listening, and quizzes for each chapter become available at various times over the semester. The assigned readings should be completed BEFORE you come to that class session; the online "E-Workbook" quiz assignments are not "due" or graded until the scheduled date of the in-class final exam (Monday, December 10); however, to best prepare for exams and stay on schedule with the class material, you should complete each E-Workbook quiz assignment within one week of when it becomes available according to the schedule below:

Do the assigned web readings BEFORE you attend the class/concert session they apply to.

The online quizzes and your "Concert Portfolio" are NOT DUE until the night of the final exam.
