MLK Academy Benefits
What are the benefits of being in the Academy?
- Academy Leaders – All students are assigned an upperclass mentor to help them navigate through their academic career at WMU.
- Registration – Active program participants receive support during registration for the fall and spring semesters.
- Academic Progress Reports – All students receive mid-semester academic progress reports.
- Tutoring – Students sign up for free one-on-one tutoring services through the Steps Toward Exhibiting Mastery (STEM) Program.
- Cultural Programming – Students participate in a variety of culturally diverse programming offered through the Center for Student Learning & Development.
- Programming and Events – Students are encouraged to participate in diverse programs and events offered throughout the academic year.
- MLK Academy Celebration – Students participate in celebratory events designed to celebrate their participation and academic achievement while participating in the Academy.
