The Academy’s Goal
The Academy’s goal is to provide students with an environment that promotes strong academic achievement, leadership opportunities, and encourages participation in events that promote diversity on campus.
The Academy
The Academy offers academic success services to incoming freshman students who seek a rich first-year experience at Western. Students are exposed to a warm and welcoming environment, they receive the support of a caring professional staff, and peer educators who share a wealth of knowledge to help them advance successfully through their first year. Program students have an opportunity to connect with other students in similar academic disciplines. Academy students are also provided with academic advising, career and personal advising, schedule building, priority registration, and tutorial services.
