Postage and Handling: Shipping is by United States Postal Service or UPS for U.S. and Canada.

United States: $6.00 for the first book; $1.00 for each additional volume shipped to the same address.

Canada: $10.00 for the first book; $2.00 for each additional volume shipped to the same address.

Overseas: For orders outside the U.S. and Canada, an additional $10.00 will be added to your order to cover surface mailing.

Examination Copies

Examination copies are available to instructors who are considering using a particular text in a class. Copies will be shipped upon payment of our invoice (at a 20% discount), including shipping and handling. If the book is adopted as a text, please notify us when your bookstore places its order, and we will treat the book as a desk copy and issue a credit for the full amount of the invoice.

Book Return Policy . . . .

To receive credit for books returned to us, all customers must follow the procedures below. Return books to: Medieval Institute Publications, Western Michigan University, 1903 West Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5432, USA.

Permission to return books must be requested by letter to the above address or by contacting Cynthia Seedorff—Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 3:30 E.S.T., by telephone (269/387-8755) or FAX (269/387-8750). Returned books will not be accepted before 30 days or after 6 months from the invoice date. Exceptions will be made for books received due to our error, or books that are received damaged or with defects. Defective or damaged books must be returned as soon as possible.

Shipping costs for returned books must be prepaid. Postage will be reimbursed only in the case of an MIP shipping error, or if the books were damaged or defective. We will not pay shipping costs for delivery or return of overstock books. No credit will be given for books returned if:

1) our invoice number and date are not included in the return shipment;
2) books are damaged due to customers' inadequate packing;
3) books are returned in unsaleable condition—worn or marked books and/or
books returned without the original shrink-wrap.

Out-of-print books cannot be returned. A credit memo will be issued if books are returned in clean, saleable condition.
