"All Tied Up", a talk in Knot Theory will be presented by Dawn Jones, Western Michigan University.
2. Friday, February 5, 1999, 4:00 p.m. in the Alavi Commons Room, Sixth Floor of Everett Tower, "Discover What Lurks in the Shadows..." by Natascha Shinkel and Gina Garza, Western Michigan University students.
3. Friday, February 19, 1999,4:00 p.m. in the Alavi Commons Room, Sixth Floor of Everett Tower, Dr. Allen Schwenk, Professor of Mathematics at WMU, will present a talk entitled "What is the Correct Way to Seed a Knockout Tournament"
4. Friday, March 12, 1999, 4:10 p.m., in 1104 Rood Hall, Dr. Doris Schattschneider, Moravian College, will present a talk entitled "Escher's Combinatorial Patterns". This talk is supported in part by Student Assessment Fees. The initiation ceremonies for new members will be held following the talk.
5. Friday, March 26, 1999, 4:00 p.m., in the Alavi Commons Room, Sixth Floor of Everett Tower, Dr. Marc Lipman, Oakland University, will present a talk entitled "Paradox".
6. Thursday, April 8, 1999, 4:00 p.m., in the Alavi Commons Room, Sixth Floor of Everett Tower, Peter Buczkowski, will present a talk. Title to be announced. This will also be our end of the year Pizza Party and General Business Meeting.
7. Thursday, April 15,1999, 7:00 p.m., in 1104 Rood Hall, Film, "N is a Number: A Portrait of Paul Erdos". Refreshments will be served.
