the Mathematics Education Center, Rood 3375: Pi Mu Epsilon Used Book Sale.
3. Friday, September 19, 2003, 4 p.m. in the Alavi Commons Room, sixth floor
of Everett Tower: Dr. Joe Buckley, professor emeritus of the Mathematics Department,
Western Michigan University, will present a talk entitled "Factorization
in the Gaussian Integers"
4. Friday, October 3, 2003, 4 p.m. in the Alavi Commons Room, sixth floor of
Everett Tower: Dr. Jeffrey Strom,
Western Michigan University, will present a talk entitled "The
Geometry of Perspective Drawing"
5. Friday, October 10, 2003, 4 p.m. in the Alavi Commons Room, sixth floor of
Everett Tower: Dr. Radu Teodorescu, Western Michigan University, will present
a talk entitled "Linear Recurrence Relations"

Everett Tower: Games Night. Have fun playing all sorts of games (mancala, rumicube,
chess, yahtzee, etc.)

Everett Tower: Dr. Jonathan Hodge and Micah TerHaar, Grand Valley State University,
present a talk entitled "Separable Preferences and Admissible Characters"

Everett Tower: Michael Kinyon, Western Michigan University, will present a talk
entitled "Adventures in automated reasoning".

of Everett Tower: Dr. Josh Naranjo, Statistics Department, Western Michigan

of Everett Tower: Feedback Forum with Dr. Jay Wood, Mathematics Department Chair.

of Everett Tower: PME Movie Night! Come see a movie and eat free popcorn. Discussion
of mathematics to follow viewing. Title TBA.
