Re: Assessment of Chair

According to the Department Policy Statement , the EC must evaluate the Chair during the second year of service.To this end, the EC has drafted a survey.

We ask that you look it over in the next few days with an eye toward (1) identifying questions or subjects that have not been addressed, but should be and (2) identifying questions or subjects that have been addressed, but that should not be, and (3) any other changes that you think would be helpful.

We will hold a Department Meeting on Tuesday, April 8 to discuss proposed changes to survey and also to allow for conversation about the questions themselves.

1) the survey
2) the new compact plan
3) Gene's statement of goals
4) an informal list of Gene's accomplishments, as compiled by the EC.
