Bridget Cappel is a senior majoring in Vocal Performance and Film, Video, and Media Studies, and is a member of the Lee Honors College. This is her fifth year in the band and second as Drum Major. She is an alumnus of Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where she graduated as a valedictorian of her class in 2010. There she served three years in the marching band, two as clarinet section leader. Bridget was a member of the clarinet section in the BMB for three years. She served as drill instructor in 2011 and section leader 2012. Bridget is greatly involved of the School of Music. She studies voice under Dr. Karen Kness and has participated in many ensembles including the Concert Band, Pep Band, Collegiate Singers, Grand Chorus, Opera Workshop, and Cantus Femina. She currently sings in the soprano section of the University Chorale. Outside of music, Bridget loves to be behind the camera filming and editing video as well as playing video games, playing piano, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and pets. She plans to pursue a career as an opera singer and eventually become a producer in the theater scene. She is proud to be a Bronco and can not wait to see what the 2014 season will bring!
