Anna is senior at Western majoring in Horn Performance and Print Media. This is her fourth year in the Bronco Marching Band and first as a Senior Field Assistant. Anna grew up in Portage, MI and graduated from Portage Northern High School. She was highly involved in the arts during her high school career and participated in various ensembles including the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra. Within the Bronco Marching Band, Anna previously served as a member of the Mellophone section and was a section leader in the 2013 season. She is actively involved in the School of Music here and has participated in ensembles such as Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and the Russell Brown Brass Quintet. She is a member of the Mu Delta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity, and has held the positions of President and Historian within the organization. Additionally, she became a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, National Music Honor Society in 2013. In her free time Anna enjoys working out, painting, and watching movies. After graduating, Anna would like to pursue a Doctorate in Horn Performance and either become a professor or play with a professional symphony orchestra. She is excited for this for the 2014 marching band season and looks forward to working with all the new and old members of the band. Go Broncos!
