: RSS
RSS is an acronym for "Really Simple Syndication." It is analagous to a newspaper column becoming syndicated when the same column is printed in many papers.
In the Internet world, RSS feeds tend to be use for news stories or blog posts so that readers don't have to visit the website to check for updates. The BMB uses this technology for Member News.
If you'd like to take advantage of this service, you'll need software capable of reading RSS feeds. Mozilla Firefox has built-in functionality for reading RSS feeds called Live Bookmarks. Google Homepage serves as a home page and can integrate many RSS feeds into one page and serve as an interface for all of Google"s services. If you're a Gmail user, you already have access to this service.
There are many other RSS Readers available, and any will work with the BMB news. The RSS service is completely optional and you can still use the BMB website and read the Member news without it.
: Twitter
Twitter is a simple microblogging tool. The Bronco Band's twitter account simply tweets everything posted to the RSS feed, and sometimes very important things which aren't posted to news.
: Facebook
The unofficial Bronco Band Facebook page is often updated when there's a news post or with other important Bronco Band information. It also features discussion boards and plenty of other social content. Relying on the Facebook page to be informed of new information is not reccomended - new information will always be on the website first.
