Dr. Douglas Lepisto is an assistant professor of management at Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business.
Lepisto’s expertise centers on how leaders create thriving workplaces by building a sense of purpose, energy, and identity. His research approach often involves collaborating with companies to study their cultures up-close and over time. His research has received several awards and has appeared in top management journals, including Administrative Science Quarterly and Organizational Psychology Review. He has given talks at national and international conferences and various companies, including Google.
Lepisto teaches organizational behavior and is co-director of the management major’s flagship experiential courses on leadership and strategy.
Prior to academia, he worked on strategy as a management consultant with the Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte) and strategic planning with the advertising firm Young and Rubicam.
