VMS Laboratory Downloads


To download the virtual lab, follow these steps in order:

  1. To request password to view the laboratory, contact pnina.ari-gur@wmich.edu.
  2. Download the EON viewer here.
    1. NOTE: EON Viewer software is needed to run the simulation files.

    2. Save the downloaded compressed folder "EON Viewer Setup" in your preferred location.
    3. Right click on the compressed folder "EON Viewer Setup" and select "Extract Here".
    4. Input password.
    5. Locate and open the "EON Viewer Setup" folder.
    6. Install the EON Viewer by double clicking on the "EONViewerSetup_6.0.0.1636.exe" file.
    7. Once installation is completed, proceed to next set of steps.
  3. Click Safety to download the compressed folder "1 - Safety".
    1. Save the downloaded compressed folder "1 - Safety" in your preferred location.
    2. Right click on the compressed folder "1 - Safety" and select "Extract Here".
    3. Input password.
    4. Locate and open the "1 - Safety" folder.
    5. Read the instructions by double clicking on the "Safety Video (Instruction).docx" file.
    6. Next, double click on the "Virtual Lab Safety video.wmv" to watch the safety video.
    7. Then, proceed to next set of steps.
  4. Click Brass to download the compressed folder "2 - Brass (Virtual Lab)".
    1. Save the downloaded compressed folder "2 - Brass (Virtual Lab)" in your preferred location.
    2. Right click on the compressed folder "2 - Brass (Virtual Lab)" and select "Extract Here".
    3. Input password.
    4. Locate and open the "2 - Brass (Virtual Lab)" folder.
    5. Read the instructions by double clicking on the "Instruction 1-Virtual Lab (Brass).docx" file.
    6. Next, double click on the "Instruction 2-How to run VR Lab Brass Lab.doc" for the Virtual Brass Lab Manual to run the virtual simulation.
    7. Note: The respective files specified in the Brass Lab Manual can be found in the "VRLab" folder.

    8. Then, proceed to next set of steps.
  5. Click Microstructure and Mechanical Properties to download the compressed folder "3 - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties laboratory assignment".
    1. Save the downloaded compressed folder "3 - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties laboratory assignment" in your preferred location.
    2. Right click on the compressed folder "3 - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties laboratory assignment" and select "Extract Here".
    3. Input password.
    4. Locate and open the "3 - Microstructure and Mechanical Properties laboratory assignment" folder.
    5. Read the instructions by double clicking on the "Microstructure and Mechanical Properties (LAST experiment).docx" file.
