Boiling and Sound Emission

Research on nucleate boiling in connection with acoustics is under development in the ATS Laboratory to understand the correlation between nucleate boiling and its acoustic signals. The technique will be useful to monitor inaccessible systems such as nuclear reactors and space power plants for any undesirable or desirable bubble formation.
