The Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab houses
two cluster computers. The first cluster
CEPCOM
was built and came online in 2001. The second cluster C4 has been operational
since July 2007.
(1) Cost Efficient Parallel
COmputational Mast (CEPCOM)
The Cost Efficient Parallel Computational Mast (CEPCOM) is a cluster of off-the-shelf personal computers (PC). These commodity PCs are connected and work as one single machine configured for specific computational requirements. The Beowulf-class CEPCOM is a result of a ``Do-It-Yourself" project at the Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory
CEPCOM came up online on November 6, 2001 and has been used to support computational research at the Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.
