Annotated Bibliography of Costume Research Resources: Print and Visual Materials

What is the Visual Resources Library?

This is an annotated bibliography of costume research materials in print, visual (slides, videos, CD-ROM), and Web page formats. It is a work in progress. Titles of works described in this bibliography were submitted by costume scholars, teachers, students, and researchers. Readers who wish to submit titles to be added to the bibliography should fill out the submission form and e-mail the form to Miranda Howard at miranda.howard@wmich.edu. This bibliography will be updated quarterly. In time the bibliography will become more comprehensive in scope.

Annotated bibliographies present the user with the citation for a given work plus a brief description. This is not an endorsement, a database, an index of costume resources, a catalog of a book collection, a recommended reading list, or a personal bibliography. Western Michigan University Libraries' call numbers appear in bold after titles held in its collections. Materials not owned by University Libraries' can be requested through Resources Sharing, Waldo Library, second floor.
