CNN Money Stock QuotesEnter a company stock symbol (ticker symbol) and receive the latest stock quote. If you do not know the stock symbol you may type a partial company name to find it. Also included are charts and company snapshots, latest performance data on mutual funds from Lipper Analytical Services, and stories on a company or fund.

County Business Patterns
Provides statistics and industry detail for US industries. Data shows number of establishments, employment size, and payroll, and is used in measuring business activity within states, counties, Metropolitan Statistical Areas, or zip codes.

County/City Data Book
Provides demographic, economic, and government data from both the Federal government and private agencies. Tables include data on current estimates, population and housing census, and economic censuses.

Federal Business Opportunities
Formerly known as Commerce Business Daily, this database lists Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000 for the benefit of contractors.

Federal Reserve BoardThe Federal Reserve duties fall into four general areas: 1) conducting the nation's monetary policy; 2) supervising and regulating banking institutions and protecting the credit rights of consumers; 3) maintaining the stability of the financial systems; and 4) providing certain financial services to the US government, the public, financial institutions, and foreign official institutions.

International Financial Statistics restricted This database provides statistics on international and domestic finances of countries since 1948. Information is presented in spreadsheet format and can be downloaded. Please log-off.

Mediamark Reporter (MRI+) open access This database provides summary tables of key audience and product usage data from their national probability sample of 25,000+ adults (18 years an older). MRI offers comprehensive demographic, lifestyle, product usage, and media data collected from a single sample (2005 survey). In addition, MRI+ is a library of key magazine planning data resources providing an information link between the planner and publisher.
To use this database you must create an account from an on-campus location
by using your email address and creating a password. Validate your account through the e-mail they send you. After you login select Mediamark Reporter at the bottom of the page.
On the MAC you must use Internet Explorer (IE).

NumbraryNumbrary is a free online service dedicated to finding, using and sharing numbers on the Web. Also included are numerous economic indicators, and additional topics such as global warming, the environment, education, health, world governace, and the Federal budget.

This is National Accounts Based Data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Inlcudes comparative data on international economic trends, statistics on output (gross value added) and employment service activities for all OECD countries, with data often going back to the 1970s. The software enables the user to carry out data extractions, build graphs and tables, and perform his/her own analysis. Data downloadable onto a disk.

Statistical Abstract of the United States.
HA 202 (Reference Desk Collection; editions prior to 1970 are shelved in general stacks on 2nd floor.) Published annually since 1878 by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, this is a standard national data book for United States statistics. Not only is it a convenient, authoritative compilation, the footnotes also provide an excellent guide to other statistical sources. See LexisNexis Statistical for Web version.

TableBase restricted An international database that specializes in tabular data dealing with companies, products, industries, and demographics. Tables are from a range of sources including statistical annuals, brokerage reports, trade and business association publications, primary research, international organizations and government reports. The tables cover market share, market size, capacity, rankings, forecasts, shipments, output, consumption, users, exports, imports, capacity, etc. To get to TableBase, check the proper box or click on the TableBase button at the top of the screen. Tablebase is limited to two simultaneous users.

TradingchartsA source for stock market price quotations and charts. Search the database to find a trading symbol by entering the name of the company.

U.S. Exports of Merchandise
