Cambridge Ancient History 3rd ed. D 57 .C252 (Ref) The volumes in this authoritative set cover from ancient Egypt and Babylonia through the imperial crisis in Rome through 324 AD. Each volume has a substantial bibliography, maps, and other illustrations, including some plates.
Cambridge History of China DS 735 .C3145 (Ref) In this 15-volume set, researchers will find a comprehensive discussion of China from its beginning to the 1970s. New Cambridge Modern History D 208 .N4 (Ref) Each of the 14 volumes in this set is devoted to a different time period, beginning with the onset of the Renaissance in the 15th century, through the shifting balance of world powers ending in 1945. Each volume contains a sizable bibliography and the articles are written by experts in the field.
Oxford Encyclopedia of the Modern Islamic World DS 35.53 .O95 1995 (Ref) This 4-volume set concentrates on the ways that Muslims have expressed themselves in the modern period through political and social action, as well as through formal texts, drawing heavily on the insights of the social sciences, religion, history, and literature. The entries contain significant bibliographies.
