ABI/INFORM Global restricted An index of over 1,800 publications with abstracts, and full text from over 700 of these titles, selected from newspapers, trade publications, and journals on business including, for example, administration, economics, computers, finance, human resources, management, and marketing. Full-text of Wall Street Journal articles available from 1984. Otherwise coverage is from 1971 to the present with some older material available. Updated daily.

Librarian's Comment: Many of the articles you will find in this business database cover key industry companies and products.

AIAA Electronic Library restricted This searchable database provides access to AIAA Meeting Papers from 1963 to present and nine AIAA Journals.

ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Digital LibraryWaldo Library subscribes to all 21 of the ASME journals both in online and print formats. Online access is from 1990 to the present.

Energy Citations DatabaseCreated by the Office of Scientific and Technical Information in the U.S. Government, this database provides searchable access to more than two million citations to articles, technical reports and conference papers from 1948 to the present. Many documents from 1994 onward are available in electronic format (HTML or PDF).

Metadex restricted A comprehensive index to information on metals and alloys: their properties, manufacturing, applications, and development. Includes over 2,000 journals, plus patents, dissertations, government reports, conference proceedings, books and web sites. This database contains over 1 million records and is the online equivalent of Metals Abstracts, Metals Abstracts Index, and Alloys Index. Coverage from 1966 to present. Updated monthly.

SAE Digital Library restricted Search this online database for detailed summaries and citations to more than 85,000 documents, including Technical Papers and Standards, published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) since 1906. Covers research in all areas of mobility engineering including ground vehicle, aerospace, off-highway, and manufacturing technology. Includes SAE Ground Vehicle Standards (J-Reports); Aerospace Standards; and Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS). Also includes full text of thousands of technical reports from 1998 to present.

Librarian's Comment: Technical papers from 1965-2004 are available in microfiche at Science Reference, Waldo Library. SAE standards are available in the SAE Handbook, Science Reference, TL151 .S62. You can request copies of SAE papers prior to 1998 from ILL.

Scopus restricted Scopus is a very large abstract and indexing database primarily covering scholarly literature in science and social science. Use this to get extensive inter-disciplinary access to journal articles and also to find out which articles are being cited by other scholars. Scopus includes 14,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 international publishers. Coverage from 1995. Tutorial
