Like most academic libraries in the U.S., the WMU Libraries use the Library of Congress (LC) Classification to organize books and journals. LC classifications consist of a letter denoting the broad subject area, with perhaps a second letter narrowing that down to a more specific area. This is followed by a number which narrows the field still further. The following list includes of some of the classification numbers, or call numbers, which may be most useful for the student of comparative politics. You may use these numbers to browse the stacks for books in political science and its related fields.
