National Gallery, London
The National Gallery in London was founded in 1824. Today it contains over 20,000 paintings created between 1200 and 1900 including works by Leonardo daVinci, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh. Search the collection from their home page to discover digital images and information about individual works owned by the museum. Images from their image collection are downloadable. The Web site also contains image and audio tours of the museum. This is an excellent tool for enhancing knowledge in Western art.
