Treesearch - Forest Service Research This is an online database to forestry research conducted by scientists in the USDA Forest Service. It indexes government books, journal articles, conference papers and other types of research papers. All the material in this database is freely available in full-text format, usually in Adobe Acrobat PDF. Material is constantly being added and will eventually go back many years.

SciFinder Scholar Online access to the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) databases. This extensive chemistry index supplies abstracts of journal articles, conferences, dissertations, technical reports, patent references, substance records, substructure, formula and reaction searching. Covers all aspects of chemistry including chemical engineering, environmental science, pharmacology, medicine, and food science. Coverage from 1907-date. Updated daily. Personal access requires client download restricted to WMU community. Also available via terminals in Science Reference, Waldo Library.
Scopus Scopus is a very large abstract and indexing database primarily covering scholarly literature in science and social science. Use this to get extensive inter-disciplinary access to journal articles and also to find out which articles are being cited by other scholars. Web of Science Web of Science from the ISI Web of Knowledge contains three major databases covering all areas of knowledge: Science Citation Index Expanded (1900-present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1956-present), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975-present). The literature can be searched by subject, author, journal title, and author's address. Cited Ref. Search allows users to search for articles that cite a particular author or work.
