Description: Priceline also returns vehicles usually available at airport rental agencies. If you bid too low on Priceline, you have to wait a set length of time before you can bid on that car again. Use the time Hotwire gives you to make up your mind to make a slightly lower bid on a similar vehicle at Priceline. Just be sure you are bidding on the same or similar package.

Librarian's Comment: Hotwire can be used to find the lowest cost for vehicle rental. However, you will not know what company you are dealing with until you have agreed to rent the vehicle. The agency will most likely be at an airport. Hotwire does direct you to the individual rental agencies for non-airport pickup, frequently with a discount. You have a set length of time to accept an offer from Hotwire so you can investigate other options.
