Classic Library Catalog
WMU's Classic online catalog (also known as WestCat), is used to identify books (including electronic books), government documents, journals, audio and video, slides and other items in the University Libraries' collections. The catalog can be searched by title, author, subject heading, keyword, call number, and more.
Catalogs of Other LibrariesThe library catalogs of many colleges, universities and local libraries can be searched online. They may be useful in finding materials our Libraries don't own. You may then decide to request these materials through interlibrary loan.
WorldCat
Comprehensive catalog of books and other materials in libraries around the world. Contains millions of records in hundreds of languages. Nonbook materials include (among other publication formats) the titles of journals and magazines, manuscripts, maps, electronic resources, websites, computer programs, musical scores, films, slides, sound recordings, conference proceedings, and videotapes. Items located through WorldCat must be requested through Interlibrary Loan unless they are also listed in the WMU libraries catalog, WestCat.
CRL: Center for Research Libraries
"CRL is a consortium of North American universities, colleges, and independent research libraries. The consortium acquires and preserves traditional and digital resources for research and teaching and makes them available to member institutions through interlibrary loan and electronic delivery." Librarian's Comment: Use this link to explore a large and varied repository of research material about English and American literature and the English language our library either cannot afford to purchase and/or has no room to house. The Center for Research Libraries loans books, newspapers, journals, microfilm, and other research materials to our students and faculty. Consider their resources as an extension of our collections.

Librarian's Comment: Generally, works of English and American literature will have call numbers beginning with the letter P. However, there will be exceptions, and you should use a WestCat search to verify call numbers.
