Databases

Title: ABI/INFORM Global
Description: An index of over 1,800 publications with abstracts, and full text from over 700 of these titles, selected from newspapers, trade publications, and journals on business including, for example, administration, economics, computers, finance, human resources, management, and marketing. Full-text of Wall Street Journal articles available from 1984. Otherwise coverage is from 1971 to the present with some older material available. Updated daily.

Title: Dissertations and Theses (ProQuest)
Description: Indexes virtually all doctoral dissertations and many masters theses produced in the U.S. since 1860 and many from foreign schools as well. Abstracts available from 1980. Full text for most dissertations available from 1997. Some authors choose to not make their dissertations available. Print and microfilm copies are offered for a fee, but check out Interlibrary Loan before paying for a copy.

Title: ERIC
Description: The Educational Resources Information Center indexes and abstracts over 2,000 journals and more than 450,000 reports in education and related fields. Some documents are available full text, the rest are on microfiche in the Education Library. Covers 1966-present. Updated monthly.

Title: Education Abstracts
Description: Indexes more than 700 English-language periodicals in education. Coverage: 1983 to the present, abstracts from 1994. Updated weekly.

Title: WestCat
Description: WestCat is WMU's online library catalog. It can be used to identify books (including online books), government documents, journals, videos, sound recordings, slides and other items that the University Libraries has in its collections. WestCat can be searched by title, author, subject heading, keyword, call number, and more.

Title: Clearinghouse on Educational Policy and Management
Description:

The Clearinghouse produces and disseminates books, monographs, and synthesis papers on topics of interest to our national clientele of educational policymakers, school administrators, researchers, and other personnel.  The Clearinghouse on Educational Policy and Management (CEPM) is a unit of the College of Education, University of Oregon. This website provides access to the resources that were produced by the ERIC Clearinghouse on Educational Management, which closed December 31, 2003.


Title: ERIC Database Search
Description:

Description: The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance Programs (CFDA) is a government-wide compendium of all 1,479 Federal programs, projects, services, and activities that provide assistance or benefits to the American public. These programs provide grants, loans, loan guarantees, services, information, scholarships, training, insurance, etc., to millions of Americans every day.

Title: Foundation Center
Description: The Foundation Center is an independent national service organization established by foundations in 1956. Their mission is to support and improve institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and helping grantseekers succeed by maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date database on foundations and corporate giving; by providing educational programs, and by maintaining a content-rich Web site.
