EuromoneySept. 1983-present. Monthly. A British journal that focuses on the world of international banking and finance. The articles are written primarily for bankers, financiers, and investment advisors but can be understood by general readers. This publication provides information about international investments, financial conditions in specific countries, international bond issues, exchange rates, and incorporates charts, graphs, and tables of data.
Federal Reserve Bulletin. 1915 to present. Monthly. HG 2401 .A5 This is the best single source for finding current U.S. banking and monetary statistics, including federal finance, interest rates on money and capital markets, stock market indexes, new security issues, mortgage markets, flow of funds, consumer installment credit, interest and exchange rates; also some international financial statistics and basic U.S. business statistics including the well-known Federal Reserve Board's index of industrial production. The articles in each issue cover recent developments.
IMF Survey HG 1 .I5x This is a newsletter, with each issue usually containing brief information on IMF (International Monetary Fund) activities, news of economic and financial trends, and national economics. Includes varying statistical tables and a few charts. More info

Its mission is to provide a range of perspectives on economics and to show how an economic perspective can help in understanding society and some of its problems.
Monthly Bulletin/European Central Bank1999-present. Monthly. HG 2976 .M66x This ECB publication is one of the main tools used to analyze economic developments in Europe and to explain the monetary policy of the ECB. The statistical part of the Monthly Bulletin will develop into one of the key sources of European area-wide statistics.
NBER ReporterRetains issues for two years only. Quarterly. HC 101 .N223a The Reporter is a quarterly publication that reviews broad areas of NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research) research and activity. The Reporter also includes reviews of recent NBER conferences and a list of all recent NBER Working Papers.
National Institute Economic Review HC 10 .N35 This is the publication of an independent, nonprofit research institute in the UK Its primary emphasis is on "current economic developments and a coherent view of likely trends…" The Review concentrates on the economic situation in the UK More info
OECD Economic Outlook HC 10 .O32x The OECD is published in both English and French by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, an international organization of twenty-four member countries. Articles report on both national and international developments with respect to monetary and fiscal policies; labor markets; wages, costs, and prices; foreign trade and current balances; and monetary exchange rates. American Economic Review1911-present. Quarterly. A prestigious journal published by the American Economic Association. Coverage extends to all areas of the field of economics. Most articles are technical and employ quantitative methodologies.
Applied Economics HB 1 .A665 A British journal whose primary purpose "is to encourage the application of economic analysis to specific problems in both the private and public sector." The articles address a broad range of problems and are both microeconomic and macroeconomic in nature. More info
Econometrica: Journal of the Econometric Society1933-present. Bimonthly. HB 1 E2 All subjects within economics are now exposed to mathematical methods, and this is the journal's area: methods, models, and techniques applied to economic behavior, production, income, cycles, and growth.
Economic Journal: the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Economic Society HB 1 .E3 Published by the Royal Economic Society in England, this scholarly and very prestigious publication covers all fields of economics, theoretical and applied, and represents a variety of schools of thought. Each issue contains from twenty to thirty signed book reviews. In addition, the "Book Notes" section contains from fifty to ninety signed annotations of new books. More info
Economica HB 1 .E5 This is the quarterly journal of the London School of Economics and Political Science. The subjects covered are economics, economic history, statistics and closely related problems. The subject content of the Economica has always reflected the interests and methodology of the economists at the school. Each issue contains about a dozen articles and some good book reviews. Journal of Political Economy1892-present. Bimonthly HB 1 .J7 JPE has been presenting significant research and scholarship in economic theory and practice since its inception in 1892. The journal has one of the widest subject coverage of any of the major economics journals, and includes articles on the history of economic thought, and even some traditionally non-economic subjects such as fertility and migration.
Journal of Post Keynesian Economics HB 1 .J72 Articles cover economic methodology, the history of economic thought, and market versus government solutions to economic problems. Most articles do not introduce a formal model and/or the results of empirical testing, but are rather critiques of others' works presented in an expository style. Some articles employ quantitative methodologies but many do not. More info
Oxford Economic Papers HB 31 .O77 This publishes articles in economic theory, applied economics, econometrics, economic development, economic history, and the history of economic thought. Most articles are technical and employ mathematical and/or statistical methodologies. About twenty-five percent of the articles are associated with the publisher, Oxford University, and other British universities. The rest of the articles are from academics from around the world. Quarterly Journal of Economics1886-present. Quarterly. (backfiles) (current) From the Department of Economics, Harvard University, this covers the whole range of economic subjects both micro and macro. All articles are technical and most employ modern quantitative methodologies. Footnotes and References are provided in all articles and appendices accompany some.
Review of Economic Studies1933-present. Quarterly. HB 1 .R4 This journal is published by the Economic Study Society and the Society for Economic Analysis "to encourage research by young economists." The journal covers economic theory, econometrics, and applied economics. It emphasizes microeconomic topics. All articles use sophisticated quantitative techniques.
Review of Economics and Statistics1949-present. Quarterly. HA 1 .R35 (back files) (current) The journal is published under the auspices of the Department of Economics, Harvard University. It is a scholarly journal that publishes both theoretical and empirical articles in economics and statistics. The majority of the articles are in applied economics, but virtually all fields of economics are covered, including the areas of industrial organization, labor economics, consumer demand, and public finance.
