CIAO: Columbia International Affairs Online CIAO is a database of full text resources for theory and research in international affairs. FBIS Electronic Index

Contains citations to full-text articles in The Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS), available in print and microfiche in Waldo Library. Reports contain translations of broadcasts, newspaper and periodical articles, and government announcements from around the world covering political, governmental, and other international events. GPO Access (Government Printing Office) GPO Access offers free searching and access to the full text of the Federal Register, Code of Federal Regulations, the Congressional Record, U.S. Public Laws, the Budget of the United States, GAO Reports, and other major U.S. government documents.
LexisNexis Academic Indexes thousands of domestic and foreign newspapers, as well as journals, and other publications in News, Business company reports and articles, Legal Research, Medical and Reference. The legal research category includes law reviews, law news, federal and state laws and cases. Mostly full text. Coverage dates vary.
Mergent Online Contains data on U.S. and international privately owned companies and US publically owned and international companies. Publicly owned company reports include the history, business, properties, officers and directors, income, long-term debt, capital stock, latest news stories and more. Includes annual reports for U.S. and international public companies in PDF format. Financial data can be retrieved in text or spreadsheet format and searchable EDGAR SEC filings dating back to 1993. Updated daily.
National Bureau of Economic Research Access unbiased economic research by policy makers, business professionals, and the academic community. Use this to search the Working paper series of NBER.

Science Direct Database for scientific research that contains the citations and abstracts of more than 1,800 Elsevier journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences as well as selected full text articles. Science Direct can be searched as a database or browsed by individual title. Coverage varies.
Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science) The Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database that indexes more than 1,725 journals spanning 50 disciplines, and selected, relevant items from over 3,300 of the world's leading scientific and technical journals. Disciplines include: anthropology, history, industrial relations, information & library science, law, philosophy, political science, psychiatry, psychology, public health, social issues, social work, sociology, urban studies, women's studies. Because the information about each article includes the article's cited reference list (or bibliography), you can also search the databases for articles that cite a known author or work. Coverage is from 1956 to present. Please LOGOFF, so others may use the database.
Wall Street Journal Eastern edition) A U.S. daily financial newspaper that covers news and trends relating to business, industry, finance, the economy, and international commerce. Provides extensive price and other data for securities, commodity, options, futures, foreign exchange, and money markets. Full text in HTML format from 1984 to the present, but does not include data from tables and graphs. Just abstracts from 1982 to 1984.
