Professional Responsibilities

I am responsible for course-related library instruction for engineering and the applied sciences. I research and recommend books, electronic resources and other information sources for the Librarys collection in engineering/technology. I assist faculty with research requests in their areas of investigation. Finally, I provide in-person reference assistance at the Science-Reference desk in the Lower Level of Waldo Library.

Information literacy; keyword generation; reference service in academic libraries; information needs of engineers and engineering students

Library Instructional Guides and Course-Related Materials

I am responsible with maintaining and updating the Class Guide for IME 1020.

Educational and Professional Background

I have a Masters in Library and Information Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. I previously worked from 2001-2005 as a reference librarian at Delaware County Community College in Media, PA, and as an information literacy librarian from 2005-2006 at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. While at Aquinas College, I taught an introductory freshman level course in information literacy. This is my second year at Waldo Library.
