Articles
in periodicals are good
sources for information on topics that are currently in the news.
In this module you
will learn how to
- identify an article
on a topic using a general Article Index and
- use the Journal
Title search to locate the periodical in the Libraries
Estimated time for
completion: 15 minutes.
To locate articles, you need to use an index.
Article indexes allow you to search multiple issues of magazines or journals
at one time. Each index covers many journals over a wide range of years.
Without an index, you would need to look through each issue of each magazine
and even then, you might not find articles on your topic!
To choose an article
index, go to the Libraries' home page. To
