Services: Statistics on Value Added and Employment (CD-ROM, Waldo Library, First Floor, Reference Area) This is National Accounts Based Data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Inlcudes comparative data on international economic trends, statistics on output (gross value added) and employment service activities for all OECD countries, with data often going back to the 1970s. The software enables the user to carry out data extractions, build graphs and tables, and perform his/her own analysis. Data downloadable onto a disk.
SIAM Journals Online Access to full-text journals of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics in industrial and applied mathematics and scientific computing. Full text coverage is from 1997 to the present, although using the Locus Home link (http://locus.siam.org/), you can browse the tables of contents and read the abstracts from articles in SIAM journals all the way back to 1952 in many cases.
Simmons Study of Media and Markets/Choices III CD-ROM, Waldo Library, First Floor, Reference Area) Simmons is an electronic resource to 2003 consumer demographics by product type and product name. It is an annual survey of over 19,000 adults ages 18 and over. The study is comprehensive measuring ownership, purchase of and use of hundreds of specific products and services, media exposure (TV program viewing, radio listening, magazine and newspaper reading) and the demographic characteristics of the individual and his/her household. The CD-ROM allows the user to create customized reports.
