Making of America (University of Michigan)
A digital library of primary sources in American social history from the ante-bellum period through Reconstruction. The collection is particularly strong in education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology. Includes over 4 million page images, representing close to 13,000 volumes of primary source materials, including books and periodicals. Cornell University has focused on the major journal literature of the period. The University of Michigan has focused on monographs.

MarketLine Business Information Centre
This database compiles business information using primary and secondary research to create 10,000 company, 2,000 industry, and 50 country profiles. MarketLine includes daily updates of relevant news, comments and analysis, company history, and a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) within company profiles.

MathSciNet
Indexes articles from approximately 1,800 journals, books, and conference proceedings in the areas of biology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, and other fields that contain mathematical or statistical applications.

MD Consult
For general access, click the "Open Generic Account." Allied health, nursing and physical assistant students should use the Personal Account. Select "Get Personal Account" from the initial page. MD Consult includes 49 medical reference texts, full-text articles from 70 journals, MEDLINE and other sources, clinical practice guidelines, patient education handouts, drug information and current medical information.

Media Law Reporter
A searchable weekly reporting service focusing on federal and state media law. Full text of new and previously published cases are available. Coverage is 1977 to present.

Mediamark Reporter (MRI+)
This database provides summary tables of key audience and product usage data from their national probability sample of 25,000+ adults (18 years an older). MRI offers comprehensive demographic, lifestyle, product usage, and media data collected from a single sample (2005 survey). In addition, MRI+ is a library of key magazine planning data resources providing an information link between the planner and publisher.
To use this database you must create an account from an on-campus location
by using your email address and creating a password. Validate your account through the e-mail they send you. After you login select Mediamark Reporter at the bottom of the page.
On the MAC you must use Internet Explorer (IE).
In Waldo Library it is on the five scholar workstations in Central Reference. On the task bar, bottom of the screen, right side, the icon is the 2nd from the left. When you mouse over the icon you will see MRI+. Questions? Ask at the Reference Desk for help.

Medline (FirstSearch)
The major index to medical research, from clinical medicine to cellular and biomolecular biology. Produced by the US National Library of Medicine. Coverage: 1965 - present. Updated daily.

Medline (SciFinder Scholar)
SciFinder Scholar allows you to search the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE and Chemical Abstracts simultaneously.

Medline Plus
Health information from the National Library of Medicine presented accessibly for professionals and non-professionals.

MeLCat
The Michigan eLibrary catalog and resource sharing system. Search for books and other materials in many Michigan libraries.

Mental Measurements Yearbook
Contains overviews, descriptions and one or more reviews of many English-language standardized tests of educational skills, personality, psychological traits, and related areas. Entries also give references to the print edition (s). Please logout.

Mergent Online
Contains data on U.S. and international privately owned companies and US publically owned and international companies. Publicly owned company reports include the history, business, properties, officers and directors, income, long-term debt, capital stock, latest news stories and more. Includes annual reports for U.S. and international public companies in PDF format. Financial data can be retrieved in text or spreadsheet format and searchable EDGAR SEC filings dating back to 1993. Updated daily.

Metadex
A comprehensive index to information on metals and alloys: their properties, manufacturing, applications, and development. Includes over 2,000 journals, plus patents, dissertations, government reports, conference proceedings, books and web sites. This database contains over1 million records and is the online equivalent of Metals Abstracts, Metals Abstracts Index, and Alloys Index. Coverage from 1966 to present. Updated monthly.

Michigan eLibrary (MeL)
From the Library of Michigan, this site is a gateway to MeLCat,a statewide library catalog, selected Internet resources, and for the residents of Michigan, it provides access to full-text magazines, newspapers, electronic books, practice tests and more under MeL Databases.

Michigan Newspapers
Index to 17 Michigan newspapers including the Kalamazoo Gazette, Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Grand Rapids Press, and Lansing State Journal. Starting coverage dates vary from 1982 to 2005.

Middle English Compendium
