Guide to Library Call Numbers
Call numbers are like street addresses: They are printed on the spine of the book and tells you where to find the book on the shelf.
Call Number Guide for Waldo Library
Childrens' books have a different call number system called the Dewey Decimal Classification (Dewey Decimal example: 398.2 or FIC). Children's books can be found in the Children's Collection, 2nd Floor, Waldo Library, and in the Curriculum Enrichment Collection, Education Library.
Bound periodicals are also shelved by call number with the books in Waldo Library and the Archives. Bound periodicals are shelved separately by call number in the Education and Music Libraries.
