Friends of the University Libraries Event: Mary Heebner Lecture

Painter and book artist Mary Heebner will give a lecture on Monday, March 10, 5:30 p.m. in Room 2008 of the Richmond Center for the Visual Arts. The Mary Heebner lecture is a University-wide event with a reception to follow in the lobby. Mary Heebner’s work as a painter and book artist has often been inspired by her travels, including trips to Iceland, Chilean Patagonia, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. In this lecture Heebner will show a survey of her creative work and talk about its sources.
This event is sponsored by the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, Friends of the WMU Libraries, the WMU Visiting Artists and Scholars Program, and the Gwen Frostic School of Art.

The Friends of the University Libraries was established in 1992 to:
- Strengthen and support the activities of the Western Michigan University Libraries.
- Offer an opportunity for interested individuals to come together with a common interest in the library and cultural activities of the Libraries.
- Encourage gifts and bequests, including donations of appropriate bound and unbound materials.
- Assist in special projects and aid in the development of special collections.
